The Wolf Women collection

Sancha's new collection explores the psyche of woman. Through the use of spiritual and mythical imagery she explores the inner liberation of woman through symbolism.

'I was inspired by texts and symbolism on the idea of the duality of women, and the exploration of our inner nature.

I have used the symbols of the wolf head merging with the female form to illustrate the idea of our inner wild, creative woman being released. The figures are either; jumping, dancing or howling to illustrate this release of expression. The symbol of the eye is used both as a protective talisman which is close to my Cypriot heritage as well as the idea of woman's intuition and the 'third eye' The inner knowledge we are all born with and explore throughout our lives. Finally the image of the bee has been flying into my work and I feel will continue to do so as I love the mythical and spiritual imagery associated with bees and the feminine energy of them. They are the ultimate creators and manage to work together in a complex little world of sweetness and beauty'
