The collection 'Pieces of Eight' draws inspiration from the sea, pirates, exploration and scallywags! Her work explores the idea of searching for adventure, mystery, and hidden treasures.
Using enamelled silver maps, treasure chests, jewels and pearls she creates body adornments that invite the wearer to go on a journey. She creates a weathered and sea touched feel to her jewellery with colour and texture, as if it has been buried underwater and long forgotten.
Each piece in the collection contains a 'piece of eight' (coin) that brings the collection of 'booty' together. In her one neckpiece there is an element of fun, the wearer can engage with the piece by fitting it together to create a treasure map.
